Today’s Loot: 4 Steam Deals Worth Your Gold
Outlast 2 — Steam
$1.99 on Steam, 90% off its $19.99 price. The Steam page does not list an end date, so treat the price as short-term.
Outlast 2 is a first-person survival horror game from Red Barrels. You play a cameraman who ends up in a remote Arizona community, with no weapons and only a camcorder to light the way and escape pursuers.
Best for: Horror fans who like hide-and-run tension and can handle intense, dark themes.
Gary’s take: Buy if you want a scare tonight. CheapShark’s lowest recorded price is $1.99 (June 26, 2025), so today matches the floor. It is Very Positive on Steam (84% of about 11,200 reviews at time of posting) with a 75 on Metacritic. I did not verify a current G2A price, so that button is for comparison only (it opens a G2A search; check the seller rating and key region).
Tormented Souls — Steam
$1.99 on Steam, 90% off its $19.99 price. The Steam page does not list an end date, so treat the price as short-term.
Tormented Souls is a classic-style survival horror game with fixed camera angles, puzzles and tank-style controls, set in a decaying mansion and hospital. It is a nod to the 1990s Resident Evil era.
Best for: Fans of old-school survival horror who enjoy puzzles and careful resource management.
Gary’s take: Buy if you like retro-style horror, but it misses the floor. CheapShark’s lowest recorded price is $0.99 (December 19, 2024), so today is $1.00 above it. It is Very Positive on Steam (88% of about 2,600 reviews at time of posting) with a 75 on Metacritic. I did not verify a current G2A price, so that button is for comparison only (it opens a G2A search; check the seller rating and key region).
Pumpkin Jack — Steam
$2.09 on Steam, 93% off its $29.99 price. The Steam page does not list an end date, so treat the price as short-term.
Pumpkin Jack is a 3D platformer where you play a pumpkin-headed hero sent by the Devil to fight good, with a Halloween-style art look and light, spooky humor rather than real scares.
Best for: Players who want a cozy-spooky, not-too-scary Halloween game, including younger-skewing teens and platformer fans.
Gary’s take: Buy if you want Halloween vibes without the dread. CheapShark’s lowest recorded price is $2.09 (October 19, 2026), so today matches the floor. It is Very Positive on Steam (91% of about 3,000 reviews at time of posting) with a 71 on Metacritic. I did not verify a current G2A price, so that button is for comparison only (it opens a G2A search; check the seller rating and key region).
Killing Floor — Steam
$1.99 on Steam, 90% off its $19.99 price. The Steam page does not list an end date, so treat the price as short-term.
Killing Floor is a co-op first-person shooter where you and friends hold off waves of mutated zombie-like monsters, called Zeds, and earn cash between waves to upgrade your gear. It is the original that the Killing Floor 2 sequel grew from.
Best for: Co-op groups who want a cheap wave-survival shooter for a Halloween game night.
Gary’s take: Buy if you have friends to play with, since the fun is the co-op. CheapShark’s lowest recorded price is $1.99 (April 27, 2024), so today matches the floor. It is Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam (96% of about 21,900 reviews at time of posting) with a 72 on Metacritic. I did not verify a current G2A price, so that button is for comparison only (it opens a G2A search; check the seller rating and key region).

Sorry We’re Closed — Epic Games Store
Free to keep on the Epic Games Store through November 5.
Sorry We’re Closed is a fixed-camera survival horror game from the British duo à la mode games. You play Michelle, a woman cursed by a demon who explores her London neighborhood, solves puzzles and fights creatures in arcade-style shooting sections.
Best for: Fans of classic survival horror who want a stylish, short game for Halloween night.
Gary’s take: Claim it. Free is the lowest price a game can have, so this giveaway matches the floor. I have not checked its Steam reviews yet, so I am not quoting a score.
Humble Bundle Loot
Per our Humble roundup, the Horror Trifectas bundle has 16 horror items, including both Bendy games, DreadOut 2 and F.E.A.R. 3, with a $5 tier and a $10 tier, until November 18. Confirm prices and end dates on Humble before you buy.
Gary’s Take
Spend $1.99 on Outlast 2 if you want a proper scare tonight, and $2.09 on Pumpkin Jack if you want the friendly, not-too-scary Halloween pick. Killing Floor at $1.99 is the co-op pick and Tormented Souls at $1.99 is the retro-horror pick, though it was once $0.99. Claim Sorry We’re Closed on Epic before the window closes.
