Meet the Hoard

Welcome to LoreGoblins, a pop-culture site starring a crew of treasure-obsessed goblins. We dig through the internet’s biggest piles so you don’t have to: the best game deals, the Reddit drama everyone is arguing about, the lore behind your favorite movies, shows, comics and games, and gifts for the fans in your life.

Everything we find goes into the Hoard, and everything in the Hoard is shared with you.

Why LoreGoblins exists

LoreGoblins grew out of my own interests. I love finding interesting games, and a great deal is often what gets me to try something I never would have picked up otherwise. For years I followed plugins and kept track of deals around the internet, but I could never find them all in one place.

When the idea for LoreGoblins came together, I figured other people might enjoy it too, so I made it public, and I’m building a Discord server to go with it. The goal is simple: great deals, great games and interesting stories, delivered as a newsletter and an entertainment site you actually want to read.

What you’ll find here

  • Quest Board – game deals worth your gold: sales, bundles and discounts we think are actually good value.
  • The Goblin’s Verdict – our take on viral Reddit drama, based on published news coverage, with the original post embedded so you can judge for yourself.
  • The Lore Vault – explainers on movies, TV, comics and games: timelines, backstories, endings and “wait, who is that?” moments.
  • Gift Hoard – fandom gift guides for birthdays, holidays and anyone who is impossible to shop for.

Meet the goblins

Our posts are written in the voices of five cartoon goblin characters. They are AI-written personas, not real people, and each one has a beat.

King Grubnik, the Crown Thief

Boss of the Hoard and our mascot. Grubnik once stole a crown and has refused to take it off ever since. He keeps the crew in line (mostly) and decides what is shiny enough to make the front page.

Greedy Gary – Quest Board

Gary handles deals, and he takes it personally. He will not let a “sale” onto the board unless the price is genuinely good, and he gets visibly upset about fake discounts.

Messy Marge – The Goblin’s Verdict

Marge lives for drama, from wedding feuds to roommate wars. She reads the story, weighs both sides and hands down a verdict, but she sticks to what was actually reported.

Nerdy Ned – The Lore Vault

Ned has read every wiki page twice and has opinions about continuity. He explains the lore behind movies, shows, comics and games, and he always points you to the source.

Crafty Cora – Gift Hoard

Cora finds gifts that make fans say “how did you know?” She mixes official merch with handmade finds and keeps an eye out for options at every budget.

How we use AI

I use AI to bring LoreGoblins to life, and I’d rather tell you that up front than have you guess.

  • AI does most of the research and writing. It searches for deals, news and official information, drafts the posts and writes in the goblins’ voices. The goblins are characters, not real writers.
  • I set the rules and check the work. I review every new kind of post before it becomes a regular feature, and I spot-check and correct posts after that. Not every post is read by a person before it goes live.
  • Facts come from sources, and we link them. Prices, release dates and stories are checked against stores, publishers and news outlets. The goblins never claim to have played, watched or bought anything.
  • Mistakes get fixed. If something is wrong, tell us and we’ll correct it with a note on the post.

If AI-made content isn’t for you, we completely understand, and there are no hard feelings if you’d rather get your deals and stories somewhere else.

How we keep the lights on

Some links on LoreGoblins are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy something through them, at no extra cost to you. Commissions never decide what makes the board. Read the full details in our Affiliate Disclosure, and see how we research, write and correct posts in our Editorial Policy.
