Standouts
We picked three games we could verify on Steam. Steam prices and reviews are as of October 16, 2026, at time of posting.
LISA: The Painful ($9 tier)

LISA: The Painful is a post-apocalyptic turn-based RPG with a dark, offbeat story. It comes with the $9 tier, along with its follow-up, LISA: The Joyful.
Best for: RPG fans who want a story with real emotional weight and an unusual battle system.
Gary’s take: Get the bundle. It is Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam (95% of about 15,200 reviews) at time of posting, and Steam lists it at $19.99, more than double the $9 tier.
Tacoma ($9 tier)

Tacoma is a story-driven exploration game set aboard a space station, where you piece together what happened to the crew.
Best for: Players who like quiet, story-first games and sci-fi mysteries.
Gary’s take: A strong second reason to pay $9. Steam lists it at $19.99 and reviews are Very Positive (86% of about 4,800) at time of posting.
Gone Home ($9 tier)

Gone Home is a first-person exploration game where you wander a family’s house and learn their story from the things they left behind.
Best for: Anyone who likes slow, narrative exploration games.
Gary’s take: A bonus pick at $9. Steam lists it at $14.99 and reviews are Mostly Positive (77% of about 18,500) at time of posting, so it is a bit more divisive than the other two.
Gary’s Call
Buy the $9 tier. LISA: The Painful, Tacoma and Gone Home together list for over $50 on Steam, and you also get LISA: The Joyful and four more games. Step up to $12 only if the Death’s Gambit games or Long Gone Days are on your wishlist; we did not verify those, so check their Steam pages first.
