Wednesday’s best game deal is Devil May Cry 5 at $7.49 on Steam, 75% off its $29.99 price. It has 95% positive reviews from about 40,700 players and is one of the best stylish action games of its generation. Three more Steam picks and two free Epic games clear my bar too.

Hotline Miami is $1.99, Dishonored is $2.49 and Neon White is $9.99. Both free Epic games, Out of Sight and TerraScape, are yours to keep until October 15 at 11 a.m. ET, and the Indie Fears Humble Bundle ends at midnight ET tonight.

Today’s Loot: 4 Steam Deals Worth Your Gold

Devil May Cry 5 — Steam

$7.49 on Steam, 75% off its $29.99 price, with the sale running for about another week.

Devil May Cry 5 is a stylish action game where you chain sword swings, gunshots and demonic powers into long combos that the game grades for flair. You switch between three demon hunters, Nero, Dante and the mysterious V, who each fight very differently, as a demon invasion tears through a ruined city. The campaign is single-player, and Steam also lists online multiplayer and co-op features. It is loud, over-the-top and built to make every fight look cool.

Best for: Action fans who love combo-driven brawlers, and anyone who wants a big, flashy campaign.

Gary’s take: Buy. GG.deals shows a keyshop low near $3.69 from July 2026, so $7.49 is not the floor, but it is the lowest price I can find for the base game at an official store today. It is Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam (95% of about 40,700 reviews at time of posting) with an 89 on Metacritic, and a flagship action game at 75% off is an easy yes. The G2A button is there if you want to compare marketplace keys, but check the seller and region first.

Hotline Miami — Steam

$1.99 on Steam, 80% off its $9.99 price, with no end date listed on the store page.

Hotline Miami is a single-player top-down action game set in a neon 1980s Miami. You wear animal masks and clear buildings full of enemies, where one hit kills you and a retry takes a second. Every room is a small puzzle about timing, doors and weapons, set to a pounding synth soundtrack. It is very violent and aimed at adults, so it is not one for younger players.

Best for: Action and arcade fans who like fast, tough, replayable levels and a great soundtrack. Mature audiences only.

Gary’s take: Buy. GG.deals lists a $0.99 Steam sale from July 2026 as the record low, so today misses the floor by a dollar, and GOG matches $1.99. It is Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam (96% of about 42,800 reviews at time of posting) with an 85 on Metacritic, and a cult classic for two bucks is hard to argue with.

Dishonored — Steam

$2.49 on Steam, 75% off its $9.99 price, with no end date listed on the store page.

Dishonored is a single-player first-person action game where you play a supernatural assassin out for revenge in the plague-ridden city of Dunwall. You mix swords, gadgets and powers, such as short-range teleporting, to take out targets however you like, sneaking past guards or fighting through them. Your choices change how the story plays out. The city has a moody, painterly look that holds up well.

Best for: Stealth and immersive-sim fans, and anyone who likes choosing how to solve a problem.

Gary’s take: Buy. GG.deals lists a free Epic giveaway from January 2023 as the record low, and $2.49 is the best official-store price I can find now, with the Definitive Edition at $4.99 on GOG. It is Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam (97% of about 40,000 reviews at time of posting) with a 91 on Metacritic, and a game this well made for under three dollars is a steal.

Neon White — Steam

$9.99 on Steam, 60% off its $24.99 price, with the sale running through October 22.

Neon White is a single-player speedrunning shooter with an anime look and a thumping soundtrack. Every gun is a card you can fire or burn for a movement power such as a double jump or a dash, so levels are about finding the fastest route. Stages take seconds to finish and you can replay them endlessly to shave off time, and Steam leaderboards let you race other players’ times.

Best for: Speedrunners, shooter fans and anyone who likes beating their own best time.

Gary’s take: Wait unless you want it now. GG.deals lists an official-store low of $7.70 from a few months back, and Gamebillet has it for $7.77 today, so Steam’s $9.99 is not the best price. It is Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam (98% of about 12,700 reviews at time of posting) with an 89 on Metacritic, so the game is great. This is the only pick here where shopping around could save you a couple of dollars.

Free on Epic Until October 15

Epic’s weekly giveaway runs until October 15 at 11 a.m. ET. Both PC games stay in your library for good once claimed.

Out of Sight — Epic Games Store

Free to keep on the Epic Games Store until October 15 at 11 a.m. ET (it sells for $9.99 on Steam).

Out of Sight is a single-player horror puzzle adventure from The Gang Studio. You play Sophie, a blind girl trapped in a dark and dangerous mansion, and you see the world through the eyes of her teddy bear, which you pick up and aim in an unusual second-person view. You solve puzzles and sneak past threats to find a way out. It’s a tense, story-driven game with a creepy storybook look.

Best for: Horror and puzzle fans who like a spooky mansion and a tense escape, played in short sessions.

Gary’s take: Claim it. Free is the lowest price a game can have, so this giveaway matches the floor. It’s Very Positive on Steam (95% of about 965 reviews at time of posting) with an 80 on Metacritic, and a clever, creepy horror game for nothing is an easy add.

TerraScape — Epic Games Store

Free to keep on the Epic Games Store until October 15 at 11 a.m. ET (it sells for $14.99 on Steam).

TerraScape is a cozy city-building puzzle game set on floating medieval islands. You draw buildings from a deck and place them to score points, growing small villages into thriving cities. There’s no time pressure, so you can plan every placement at your own pace. It has a single-player campaign plus online multiplayer modes, with a bright, relaxing look.

Best for: Relaxed puzzle and city-builder fans who like placing buildings on floating islands.

Gary’s take: Claim it. Free matches the floor. It’s Very Positive on Steam (89% of about 2,200 reviews at time of posting), and a calm building puzzler with solo and multiplayer modes at zero dollars is worth a spot in your library.

Humble Bundle Loot

The Indie Fears Bundle is $13 for 14 spooky indie games, and it ends at midnight ET tonight, October 14. The IGN 30th Anniversary Bundle runs $5, $10 and $15 and ends at midnight ET on the night of October 16. If you like classic horror, the Capcom Classics Bundle is $10 for Resident Evil, Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, or $20 to add Dino Crisis, Dino Crisis 2 and Breath of Fire IV, and it runs through October 30.

Gary’s Take

Claim both free Epic games before Thursday morning, then spend $7.49 on Devil May Cry 5, which is the best value on the board. Hotline Miami and Dishonored are both under three dollars, so grab them if you have not already. If the Indie Fears Humble Bundle looks good to you, decide before midnight tonight.
