Daily Loot Report: Ori Collection at $7.18 Leads Tuesday’s Deals

Tuesday’s best game deal is Ori: The Collection for $7.18 on Steam. That’s both Ori games, 84% off, at the lowest price the bundle has ever had. Six more deals below clear my bar: games people actually want, cut by at least half or sitting at a record low.

Today is also The Witcher 3 Remastered’s launch day. It’s a free upgrade for owners, and the game itself is “50% off” on Steam and GOG. I’ll tell you why that discount isn’t what it looks like. GOG’s Autumn Sale runs to October 7, and the Switch deals last into mid-October.

Ori: The Collection — Steam

$7.18, down from $44.98, is 84% off for both games: Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition and Ori and the Will of the Wisps. It’s a PC Steam purchase, and GG.deals shows the offer ending around October 1. If you already own the first game, Will of the Wisps alone is $2.99 (90% off). Price history: GG.deals lists $7.18 on Steam as the lowest price this bundle has ever had, so today is the all-time low. Reviews at time of posting: Will of the Wisps is Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam (96% of about 136,000 reviews) with a 90 Top Critic Average on OpenCritic, and Blind Forest: Definitive Edition has an 88 on OpenCritic.

Best for: platformer fans who want a beautiful, emotional story with tough jumps.

Gary’s call: Buy. Two of the best metroidvanias ever made cost less than a lunch today. Start with Blind Forest; Will of the Wisps improves on it in almost every way.

Chained Echoes — GOG

$7.49, down from $24.99, is 70% off. It’s a DRM-free PC purchase in GOG’s Autumn Sale, which ends October 7 (early morning ET). Steam still has it at full price. Price history: GG.deals lists $7.49 at GOG as the lowest price ever across all stores, so today is the all-time low. Reviews at time of posting: Very Positive on Steam (88% of about 7,700 reviews), an 89 Top Critic Average on OpenCritic with 94% of critics recommending it, and a 91 on Metacritic.

Best for: JRPG fans who grew up on the 16-bit classics.

Gary’s call: Buy. It’s a 30-to-40-hour indie JRPG that critics put next to the genre’s greats, with no random battles, for less than eight bucks.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition — GOG

$11.25, down from $44.99, is 74% off. It’s a DRM-free PC purchase in GOG’s Larian sale, which ends October 7. Price history: this just misses the record. GG.deals shows the all-time low was $10.66 on Steam, in a sale that ended about a week ago, so today is 59 cents above it. Reviews at time of posting: Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam (95% of about 181,000 reviews) and a 92 Top Critic Average on OpenCritic, with 95% of critics recommending it.

Best for: tactics fans and friend groups who want a co-op campaign for up to four players.

Gary’s call: Buy if you missed the Steam sale. Fifty-nine cents isn’t worth waiting weeks for, and this is the RPG that set Larian up for Baldur’s Gate 3.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga — Nintendo eShop (Switch)

$11.99, down from $59.99, is 80% off. It’s a digital Nintendo Switch purchase, and Deku Deals shows the sale ending October 13. Price history: Deku Deals lists $11.99 as the lowest digital price ever, so today ties the all-time low. Reviews at time of posting: an 82 on Metacritic and an 82 on OpenCritic.

Best for: families and Star Wars fans who want all nine movies in one couch co-op game.

Gary’s call: Buy. It’s the biggest LEGO game there is, it plays great with a kid on the second controller, and it’s back at its floor price for two weeks.

Overcooked! All You Can Eat — Nintendo eShop (Switch)

$11.99, down from $39.99, is 70% off. It’s a digital Nintendo Switch purchase, and Deku Deals shows the sale ending October 17. It bundles both Overcooked games with every DLC kitchen, plus online play. Price history: this misses the record. Deku Deals shows it has dropped as low as $4.99 (88% off) before. Reviews at time of posting: an 88 on OpenCritic and an 87 on Metacritic.

Best for: couples, roommates and families who like yelling “I need onions!” at each other.

Gary’s call: Buy it if you’ve got game night coming up. If you’re in no rush, it has hit $4.99 before, and the holiday sales are coming.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition — Steam

$24.99, down from $49.99, is 50% off. It’s a PC Steam purchase (GOG has the same price), and SteamDB shows the offer ending October 1. The Witcher 3 Remastered launched today at 6 a.m. ET as a free upgrade for owners on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2, and the Complete Edition includes both expansions. Price history: this misses the record by a mile. GG.deals reports the regular price rose from $39.99 to $49.99 on August 27, 2026, so today’s price is about 37% off the old one. SteamDB’s lowest recorded price for this Steam listing is $3.99 (June 2024), and Steambase shows it at $7.99 as recently as August 2026. Reviews at time of posting: Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam (about 96% of 820,000+ reviews) and a 93 Top Critic Average on OpenCritic. The Remastered PC version opened at 94 on Metacritic, from only eight early reviews.

Best for: RPG fans who never finished Geralt’s story and want to start with the remaster right now.

Gary’s call: Wait, unless you want to play it this week. Half off a raised price is a goblin trick. It’s still one of the best RPGs ever made, and $25 for the whole thing is fair, but it has been far cheaper. Already own it? Just download the free upgrade.

Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles + Mechabellum — Epic Games Store (Free)

Free until October 1 at 11 a.m. ET. Astrea is a deckbuilding roguelike where you collect dice instead of cards, and Mechabellum is a mech auto-battler strategy game. Claim them on PC through Epic and they’re yours to keep. Price history: free is as low as it gets. Reviews at time of posting: Astrea is Very Positive on Steam (92%, per GG.deals) and Mechabellum is Very Positive (84% of about 19,400 reviews, per Steambase). Next up on October 1: System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster and Buried Stars.

Best for: PC players who like strategy and deckbuilders.

Gary’s call: Claim both before Thursday. It takes 30 seconds, and they’re yours even if you never install them.

Humble Bundle Loot

Every Humble Bundle live right now, with tiles for Mega Man, Decked Out Deckbuilders, IGN 30th Anniversary, Trineverse, Indie Fears and more

Last call for the CRPG Pack: Isometric Immersion: $10 gets Disco Elysium: The Final Cut and four more RPGs, and $23 adds Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous and Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. It ends the night of September 30. The new Gear & Glory Action RPGs bundle has nine games for $12 through mid-October, and Indie Fears packs 14 indie horror games, including Mouthwashing and Buckshot Roulette, for $13 through about October 14.

Gary’s Take

If you buy one thing today, make it Ori: The Collection at $7.18. Two top-tier games at their lowest price ever, and the Steam offer ends in a couple of days.

RPG fans should raid GOG before October 7: Chained Echoes at $7.49 is a record low, and Divinity: Original Sin 2 at $11.25 is within pocket change of one. Switch families get LEGO Star Wars at $11.99, tied with its best price.

As for The Witcher 3: the remaster is great news, but a “50% off” sticker on a freshly raised price isn’t a deal, it’s marketing. The Steam Autumn Sale starts October 1 at 10 a.m. PT, and Black Friday isn’t far behind. Not sure if a price is real? Run it through my deal checklist.

Prices checked September 29, 2026 at 7:30 a.m. ET. Deals change fast. Always confirm the price on the store page before you buy.
