Today’s Loot: 4 Steam Deals Worth Your Gold
Mouthwashing — Steam
$7.79 on Steam, 40% off its $12.99 price. The Steam page does not list an end date, so treat the price as short-term.
Mouthwashing is a first-person psychological horror game about a crashed cargo spaceship, a surviving crew and a captain who is no longer in command. It is short, tense and built around its story.
Best for: Horror fans who want a story-heavy, atmospheric game they can finish in a few hours.
Gary’s take: Buy. CheapShark’s lowest recorded price is $7.79 (June 8, 2026), so today matches the floor. It is Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam (95% of about 25,000 reviews at time of posting) with an 88 on Metacritic. It is also one of the games in the Humble Indie Fears bundle, so check that before you buy it alone. I did not verify a current G2A price, so that button is for comparison only (it opens a G2A search; check the seller rating and key region).
The Cat Lady — Steam
$2.24 on Steam, 75% off its $8.99 price. The Steam page does not list an end date, so treat the price as short-term.
The Cat Lady is a 2D psychological horror adventure from Harvester Games that follows Susan Ashworth, a woman in a dark place who is pulled into a nightmare. Expect puzzles, dialogue and a heavy, mature story.
Best for: Adventure and horror fans who like dark, story-first games and can handle mature themes.
Gary’s take: Buy if you like narrative horror, but it misses the floor. CheapShark’s lowest recorded price is $0.80 (October 27, 2025), so today is $1.44 above it. It is Very Positive on Steam (92% of about 2,700 reviews at time of posting) with an 81 on Metacritic. I did not verify a current G2A price, so that button is for comparison only (it opens a G2A search; check the seller rating and key region).
Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon — Steam
$4.99 on Steam, 50% off its $9.99 price. The Steam page does not list an end date, so treat the price as short-term.
Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon is a retro-style side-scrolling action platformer in the spirit of classic Castlevania games, with several playable characters you can swap between as you fight through gothic stages.
Best for: Retro platformer fans who want a gothic, old-school challenge in short levels.
Gary’s take: Buy. CheapShark’s lowest recorded price is $4.99 (December 19, 2019), so today matches the floor. It is Very Positive on Steam (92% of about 2,000 reviews at time of posting) with a 77 on Metacritic. I did not verify a current G2A price, so that button is for comparison only (it opens a G2A search; check the seller rating and key region).
Halls of Torment — Steam
$4.99 on Steam, 25% off its $6.66 price. The Steam page does not list an end date, so treat the price as short-term.
Halls of Torment is a dark-fantasy action roguelite with a retro look from Chasm Studios, where you fight off huge waves of monsters and build up your hero between runs.
Best for: Fans of horde-survival roguelites who want a long-lasting game for the price of a coffee.
Gary’s take: Buy if you want a time sink, but it misses the floor. CheapShark’s lowest recorded price is $3.74 (September 24, 2024), so today is $1.25 above it. It is Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam (95% of about 21,400 reviews at time of posting) with an 88 on Metacritic. I did not verify a current G2A price, so that button is for comparison only (it opens a G2A search; check the seller rating and key region).

Sorry We’re Closed — Epic Games Store
Free to keep on the Epic Games Store from 11 a.m. ET today through November 5.
Sorry We’re Closed is a fixed-camera survival horror game from the British duo à la mode games. You play Michelle, a woman cursed by a demon who explores her London neighborhood, solves puzzles and fights creatures in arcade-style shooting sections.
Best for: Fans of classic survival horror who want a stylish, short game for Halloween week.
Gary’s take: Claim it. Free is the lowest price a game can have, so this giveaway matches the floor. I have not checked its Steam reviews yet, so I am not quoting a score.

Gary’s Take
Spend $7.79 on Mouthwashing if you want a story-driven horror game at its lowest recorded price, and $4.99 on Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon if you want a retro gothic platformer. The Cat Lady at $2.24 is the dark story pick and Halls of Torment at $4.99 is the time sink. Claim Sker Ritual and Home before 11 a.m. ET, then grab Sorry We’re Closed on Epic.
