$1.19 on Steam, 92% off its $14.99 price. The Steam page does not list an end date, so treat the price as short-term.

Super Meat Boy is Team Meat’s infamous, tough-as-nails platformer, and the Steam version adds a playable Head Crab character.

Best for: Platformer fans who like precise, fast, retry-in-a-second challenges and do not mind dying a lot.

Gary’s take: Buy. At $1.19 it costs less than a gumball, and it is the best-reviewed game on the board. CheapShark’s lowest recorded price is $0.74 from December 25, 2014. $1.19 misses the floor by $0.45, which is not worth waiting for. It is Very Positive on Steam (93% of about 13,900 reviews at time of posting) with an 87 on Metacritic. I did not verify a current G2A price, so that button is for comparison only (it opens a G2A search; check the seller rating and key region).

Pumpkin Jack — Steam

$2.09 on Steam, 93% off its $29.99 price. The Steam page does not list an end date, so treat the price as short-term.

Pumpkin Jack is Evil Raptor’s spooky 3D platformer, where you play Jack, the Mythical Pumpkin Lord, and explore otherworldly lands.

Best for: Halloween-season players who want a light, colorful spooky platformer rather than a hard scare.

Gary’s take: Buy for the season. CheapShark’s lowest recorded price is $2.09 from October 19, 2026, so today matches the floor. It is Very Positive on Steam (91% of about 2,950 reviews at time of posting) with a 71 on Metacritic. I did not verify a current G2A price, so that button is for comparison only (it opens a G2A search; check the seller rating and key region).

In Sound Mind is We Create Stuff’s first-person psychological horror game, with puzzles, boss fights and music by The Living Tombstone, set inside the protagonist’s own mind.

Best for: Horror fans who like puzzles and boss fights mixed into their scares, and a soundtrack that is part of the show.

Gary’s take: Buy if you want a full-length horror pick this week. CheapShark’s lowest recorded price is $1.74 from January 19, 2024. $2.49 misses the floor by $0.75, which is small money. It is Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam (95% of about 3,170 reviews at time of posting) with a 75 on Metacritic. I did not verify a current G2A price, so that button is for comparison only (it opens a G2A search; check the seller rating and key region).

Bendy and the Dark Revival is Joey Drew Studios’ first-person survival horror, set in a cartoon studio where you have to uncover the truth, escape and survive the Ink Demon.

Best for: Horror fans who like the vintage-cartoon look and a stalker-style scare, played with the lights low.

Gary’s take: Buy if cartoon horror is your thing. CheapShark’s lowest recorded price is $1.99 from June 25, 2026, so today matches the floor. It is Very Positive on Steam (91% of about 7,900 reviews at time of posting) with a 72 on Metacritic. I did not verify a current G2A price, so that button is for comparison only (it opens a G2A search; check the seller rating and key region).

Free on Epic Until Today, October 22

Epic’s current free pair, Bad Cheese and Agent A: A Puzzle in Disguise, stays free to claim until today, Thursday, October 22 at 11 a.m. ET, and the games are yours for good once claimed. Claim on the Epic free games page. Epic’s next pair is reported to be Home – A Unique Horror Adventure and Sker Ritual, but I only found one source for that, so confirm it on Epic.

Bad Cheese — Epic Games Store

Free to keep on the Epic Games Store until October 22 at 11 a.m. ET (it normally sells for $12.99).

Bad Cheese is a short psychological horror game inspired by 1920s animation, published by Feardemic. It has a creepy old-cartoon look and is meant to be played in one sitting. It is PC only.

Best for: Horror fans who like a short, strange, vintage-cartoon scare in the run-up to Halloween.

Gary’s take: Claim it before 11 a.m. Free is the lowest price a game can have, so this giveaway matches the floor, and a short spooky game for nothing is an easy add. I have not checked its Steam reviews yet, so I am not quoting a score.

Agent A: A Puzzle in Disguise — Epic Games Store

Free to keep on the Epic Games Store until October 22 at 11 a.m. ET (it normally sells for $19.99).

Agent A: A Puzzle in Disguise is a spy puzzle adventure with a colorful, retro 1960s look. You play a secret agent tracking down a dangerous spy named Ruba La Rogue, solving logic and inventory puzzles to catch her. It is free on PC and mobile.

Best for: Puzzle and adventure fans who like clever, point-and-click style problem solving.

Gary’s take: Claim it before 11 a.m. Free matches the floor, and a stylish spy puzzler is worth a spot in your library. I have not checked its Steam reviews yet, so I am not quoting a score.

Humble Bundle Loot

Every Humble Bundle live right now, with tiles for Mega Man, Decked Out Deckbuilders, IGN 30th Anniversary, Trineverse, Indie Fears and more

Gary’s Take

Spend $1.19 on Super Meat Boy, the best-reviewed game on the board, and $2.09 on Pumpkin Jack if you want a gentle Halloween platformer at its lowest recorded price. For scares, Bendy at $1.99 is the cartoon pick and In Sound Mind at $2.49 is the longer, puzzle-heavy one. Claim both free Epic games before 11 a.m.
