Daily Loot Report: Persona 3 Reload at $17.99 Leads Monday’s Deals
Monday’s best game deal is Persona 3 Reload for $17.99 on Steam, 70% off and tied with the lowest Steam price it has ever had. Six more deals below clear my bar: games people actually want, cut by at least half or sitting at a record low.
Most of the Steam picks end Thursday, October 1, right as the Steam Autumn Sale starts. The console deals last longer: Borderlands 3 and Spider-Man 2 run to about October 7, and Monster Hunter Rise to October 16.

Today’s Loot: 7 Deals Worth Your Gold
Persona 3 Reload — Steam

$17.99, down from $59.99, is 70% off. It’s a PC Steam purchase, and the offer ends October 1. Price history: SteamDB lists $17.99 as the lowest Steam price on record, first reached on September 24, 2026, so today’s price matches the all-time low. GG.deals shows a keyshop dipped to $15.33 about a month ago, but no official store has gone lower. Reviews at time of posting: Very Positive on Steam (94% of about 64,000 reviews) and an 87 Top Critic Average on OpenCritic, with 94% of critics recommending it.
Best for: JRPG fans, especially anyone who liked Persona 5.
Gary’s call: Buy. A full-size 2024 remake for under $18 is one of the best JRPG deals this month. The Episode Aigis expansion isn’t included, so treat the base game as the deal and decide on the extra later.
Hades — Steam

$6.24, down from $24.99, is 75% off. It’s a PC Steam purchase, and the offer ends October 1. Price history: SteamDB lists $6.24 as the lowest Steam price ever, first reached on September 17, 2025. Steambase shows it has hit that price only during short sales in September and October 2025, so today matches the all-time low. Reviews at time of posting: Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam (98% of about 142,600 reviews) and a 94 Top Critic Average on OpenCritic, with 99% of critics recommending it.
Best for: action fans who like short runs, and anyone who hasn’t tried a roguelike yet.
Gary’s call: Buy. It’s one of the best-reviewed games of the last decade, and it costs about as much as a sandwich. Hades II is also on sale, but only 30% off ($20.99), which misses my 50% bar. Start with the first game.
Monster Hunter Rise — Nintendo eShop (Switch)

$4.99, down from $39.99, is 88% off. It’s a digital Nintendo Switch purchase, and Deku Deals shows the sale ending October 16. Price history: Deku Deals lists $4.99 as the lowest eShop price ever, and Nintendo Everything flagged it as a record low when the sale went live on September 27, 2026. Today’s price is the all-time low. Want the big Sunbreak expansion too? The Rise + Sunbreak bundle is $9.99. Reviews at time of posting: an 87 on OpenCritic and an 88 on Metacritic.
Best for: Switch owners who want a huge co-op game to sink months into.
Gary’s call: Buy, and grab the $9.99 Sunbreak bundle if you think you’ll stick with it. Sunbreak is where most of the late-game hunting lives, and $10 for both is hard to beat.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 — PlayStation Store (PS5)

$27.99, down from $69.99, is 60% off the Standard Edition. It’s a digital PS5 purchase in Sony’s Autumn Adventures sale, which PSprices shows ending October 8 (UTC), which is the evening of October 7 in the US. You don’t need PS Plus for this price. Price history: PSprices lists $27.99 as the lowest price ever, first seen on September 23, 2026, so today matches the all-time low. Reviews at time of posting: an 88 Top Critic Average on OpenCritic.
Best for: PS5 owners who skipped it at launch, and anyone fresh off Marvel’s Wolverine.
Gary’s call: Buy. It was yesterday’s top pick and nothing has changed: it’s still the cheapest Peter-and-Miles has ever been, with more than a week left. The discount is on the Standard Edition, so that’s the one to grab.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II — Steam

$12.49, down from $49.99, is 75% off. It’s a PC Steam purchase, and the offer ends October 1. Price history: SteamDB lists $12.49 as the lowest Steam price on record, first reached on December 18, 2025, so today matches the Steam low. GG.deals shows a keyshop low of $11.32 about four months ago. Reviews at time of posting: Very Positive on Steam (about 84% positive per SteamDB, across roughly 10,000 reviews) and an 81 Top Critic Average on OpenCritic, with 79% of critics recommending it.
Best for: players who want a short, cinematic story game with standout sound and visuals.
Gary’s call: Buy if you like story-first games. Critics loved the look and sound but called the combat thin, and it runs about seven hours. PC Game Pass members already have it, so they should skip this one.
Borderlands 3 — Xbox Store

$5.99, down from $59.99, is 90% off. It’s a digital purchase for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, and the Xbox Store showed 9 days left on September 28, so it should end around October 7. The Super Deluxe Edition, which adds DLC, is $11.99. Price history: this misses the record. GG.deals shows the lowest official-store price was $5.49 about a year ago, and a keyshop went as low as $3.24. Reviews at time of posting: an 80 Top Critic Average on OpenCritic, with 78% of critics recommending it.
Best for: couch co-op groups who want a loot shooter with split-screen.
Gary’s call: Buy if you have a co-op partner. It’s 50 cents above its best price, which isn’t worth waiting for. If you want the DLC, the $11.99 Super Deluxe is the better value.
Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles + Mechabellum — Epic Games Store (Free)

Free until October 1 at 11 a.m. ET. Astrea is a deckbuilding roguelike where you collect dice instead of cards. Mechabellum is a mech auto-battler strategy game. Claim them on PC through Epic and they’re yours to keep. Price history: free is as low as it gets. Reviews at time of posting: Astrea is Very Positive on Steam (92% of about 4,400 reviews) and Mechabellum is Very Positive (84% of about 19,400 reviews), per Steambase. Next up from October 1: System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster and Buried Stars.
Best for: PC players who like strategy and deckbuilders.
Gary’s call: Claim both. It takes 30 seconds, and they’re yours even if you never install them.
Humble Bundle Loot

Humble has 16 game bundles running, and three stand out. The CRPG Pack: Isometric Immersion starts at $10 with Disco Elysium, and $23 adds Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous and Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. It ends the night of September 30, so this is its last few days. Decked Out Deckbuilders bundles Monster Train, Wingspan and Cultist Simulator for $12 through October 2, and Indie Fears packs 14 indie horror games, including Mouthwashing and Buckshot Roulette, for $13 through October 14.
Gary’s Take
If you buy one thing today, make it Persona 3 Reload at $17.99. It’s a big, well-loved RPG at its Steam record low, and it’s gone after Thursday.
The best value per coin is a tie between Hades at $6.24 and Monster Hunter Rise at $4.99. Both are at all-time lows, and both are built for dozens of hours of replay. Switch owners should add Sunbreak for $5 more.
A word on timing: the Steam Autumn Sale starts October 1 at 10 a.m. PT, the same day these Steam deals end. Some of these prices may come back during that sale, but record lows don’t always repeat. If a game here is already on your list, don’t gamble on it. Not sure a deal is real? Run it through my deal checklist.
Prices checked September 28, 2026 at 7:15 a.m. ET. Deals change fast. Always confirm the price on the store page before you buy.
