Thursday’s best game deal is Hogwarts Legacy for $5.99 on Steam. That’s 90% off a game with about 276,000 reviews at 89% positive. Two more Steam deals and two new free Epic games clear my bar too.
The Steam Autumn Sale ends today, October 8, at 10 a.m. Pacific (1 p.m. ET), so these Steam prices have hours left. The two free Epic games are yours to keep if you claim them by October 15 at 11 a.m. ET.

Today’s Loot: 3 Steam Deals Worth Your Gold
G2A buttons below lead to marketplace keys sold by independent sellers. Prices change hourly, so check the seller rating and the key’s region before you buy. How to buy cheap game keys safely.
Hogwarts Legacy — Steam
$5.99, down from $59.99, is 90% off. It’s a PC Steam purchase in the Steam Autumn Sale, which ends today at 1 p.m. ET. Price history: GG.deals lists a free Epic giveaway on May 3, 2026 as the all-time low, so today misses that. The best paid prices GG.deals shows right now are $5.25 at Gamebillet and about $5.09 at a keyshop, so Steam is within a dollar of the cheapest. Reviews at time of posting: Very Positive on Steam (89% of about 275,900 reviews) and an 83 on Metacritic.
Best for: Wizarding World fans who want a big open-world action RPG to wander for dozens of hours.
Gary’s call: Buy. A 90% cut on a game that big, with nearly 90% positive reviews, is hard to argue with.
Red Dead Redemption 2 — Steam
$14.99, down from $59.99, is 75% off. It’s a PC Steam purchase, and the Autumn Sale ends today at 1 p.m. ET. Price history: GG.deals shows an official-store low of $12.29 about a year ago and a keyshop low of $10.61 on September 30, 2026, so $14.99 misses both. It is still the lowest Steam price on this page right now. Reviews at time of posting: Very Positive on Steam (roughly 92–93% of about 921,600 reviews) and a 93 on Metacritic.
Best for: Players who want a slow, story-heavy Western with a huge world and don’t mind a deliberate pace.
Gary’s call: Buy if you’ve been waiting, but you can shave a few dollars off at a keyshop if you’re comfortable with marketplace keys. It’s a long game, so $15 is a fair price for the hours.
Watch Dogs 2 — Steam
$2.49, down from $49.99, is 95% off. It’s a PC Steam purchase, and the Autumn Sale ends today at 1 p.m. ET. Price history: GG.deals lists a free Epic giveaway on September 24, 2020 as the all-time low, so today misses that, but $2.49 beats the best keyshop price GG.deals shows (about $3.10). Reviews at time of posting: Very Positive on Steam (81% of about 97,500 reviews) and a 75 on Metacritic.
Best for: Open-world fans who like hacking gadgets and a lighter, more colorful tone than most big-budget action games.
Gary’s call: Buy. At $2.49 the only real risk is that it sits in your backlog.
Free on Epic Until October 15
Epic’s new weekly giveaway runs from today until October 15 at 11 a.m. ET. Both games stay in your library for good once claimed.
Out of Sight — Epic Games Store
Free to keep until October 15 at 11 a.m. ET. It lists at $9.99 on Steam. Price history: free is the lowest price a game can have, so this giveaway matches the floor. Reviews at time of posting: Very Positive on Steam (95% of about 965 reviews) and an 80 on Metacritic.
Best for: Horror and puzzle fans who like a spooky mansion and a tense escape, played in short sessions.
Gary’s call: Claim it. You guide a blind girl out of a creepy mansion using her plush toy’s eyes, and free is free.
TerraScape — Epic Games Store
Free to keep until October 15 at 11 a.m. ET. It lists at $14.99 on Steam. Price history: free is the lowest price possible, so this giveaway matches the floor. Reviews at time of posting: Very Positive on Steam (89% of about 2,200 reviews).
Best for: Relaxed puzzle and city-builder fans who like placing buildings on floating islands.
Gary’s call: Claim it. It’s a calm medieval building puzzler with solo and multiplayer modes, and the price is zero.
Humble Bundle Loot
Checked October 7–8 against Humble’s October listings. The Capcom Classics Bundle is $20 for all six games: the original Resident Evil trilogy, Dino Crisis, Dino Crisis 2 and Breath of Fire IV, and it runs through October 30. The October Humble Choice is $15 for the month and includes Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown and Psychonauts 2. The IGN 30th Anniversary Bundle tops out at $15 and ends tomorrow, October 9.
Gary’s Take
If you buy one thing today, make it Hogwarts Legacy at $5.99. It’s 90% off a game with 89% positive reviews, and the sale ends at 1 p.m. ET.
Open-world fans should also grab Red Dead Redemption 2 at $14.99 or Watch Dogs 2 at $2.49, and everyone should claim both free Epic games before next Thursday. Not sure a deal is real? Run it through my deal checklist.
